How to make holiday cakes

  • Four cups of coarse semolina.
  • Two cups of flour.

  • A teaspoon of instant yeast.

How to prepare

  • Put in a bowl of: semolina, flour, sugar, yeast and mahlab, then mix them together.

  • Add blossom water and rose water to the dough, then knead it a little bit to get a firm dough.
  • Prepare cake molds of different shapes to distinguish between the fillings, then take a quantity of dough that fits the size of the template, and then put inside the dough one of the fillings that you have prepared, then close the dough on the filling, put it in the form of a ball, put it in the mold, press it and then turn the mold and go out Here the piece is decorated with the mold decoration itself, then put the cakes that you have prepared inside the tray, and let it rest for several minutes before baking.
  • Put the cake tray in the oven for ten minutes until the bottom of the cake becomes golden in color.
  • Take the cookies out and sprinkle them with fine sugar while they are hot, then let them cool slightly, then sprinkle again a little soft sugar on them.
