Conditions of supplication

The supplication has conditions that must be met, namely: [10]

  • Avoid aggression in supplication.
  • That his heart be present, and that he will be disobedient in supplication, and that he desires what God Almighty rewards, and terrorize the punishment he has. God Almighty praised Zakaria and the people of his house, and the Almighty said: (And Zechariah, when he called his Lord, let him not be forgotten.   • Not being preoccupied with supplication for a duty, as a duty or obedience to parents.

The etiquette of supplication

The supplication has etiquette that a Muslim must show when initiating it, including: [16]
  • For a Muslim to start his supplication with the praise of God Almighty, and to pray to the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - and to conclude his supplication with that.
